2. How we use it

Provide & maintain the Platform – authenticate users, deliver features, store projects, and supply support.

  • Product improvement – aggregate or anonymize usage metrics to enhance performance and prioritize new capabilities.

  • Billing & administration – generate invoices, process payments or refunds, and manage subscription changes.

  • Security & fraud prevention – detect suspicious activity, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with legal obligations.

Transactional communications – send receipts, critical updates, service announcements, and other non-marketing notices.

3. Data Sharing & Processing

3.1 Service Providers

We engage carefully selected vendors—including AWS for hosting, Stripe for payments, and application-analytics platforms—to process data on our behalf. Each vendor is contractually bound to confidentiality and must implement industry-standard security controls.

3.2 Legal Disclosures

We may disclose information when required by applicable law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Tile, our customers, or others.

3.3 Business Transfers

If Tile is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, the information we hold may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will provide notice of any material change in ownership or data-handling practices.

4. Security Measures

We follow industry best practices to protect Personal Information and Customer Data:

  • Encryption – Data in transit and at rest.

  • Access controls – role-based permissions, multi-factor authentication for privileged accounts, and least-privilege policies.

  • Vulnerability management – quarterly vulnerability scans, annual third-party penetration testing, and prompt patching of critical findings.

Incident response – documented plan with a target notification window of 72 hours after confirming a breach; post-incident root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

5. Children's Policy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn such information has been provided, we will delete it promptly.

6. International Data Transfers

All Personal Information and Customer Data are stored in Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers located in the United States. When data is transferred from other jurisdictions to these facilities, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards and use encryption, strict access controls, and audit logging to protect it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business developments. Material changes will be communicated via e-mail and/or an in-app banner before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after an update signifies acceptance of the revised Policy.
